Wed & Thu Mornings
Morning playgroups are designed for 8 to 30 months old.

Thrive is a homebased playgroup, where we provide a nurturing and warm environment for children to explore, discover, and grow. We believe in play-based learning, open ended sensory play, and developing emotional sturdiness. Currently we host a group for 8-30 months and a group for 1 - 4 years.
Sessions are 90 minutes each, with no more than 8 children per session.
We are a child-led & play-based learning environment meaning we do not expect all children to do the same activity at the same time. Materials and activities are introduced to the group during circle time then the little ones can choose the work or play which is most attractive and stimulating to them. This allows for valuable 1:1 time with each child and opportunities to tailor to their needs and developmental stage.
The first 20 minutes is free play, allowing everyone to settle in, find new materials, and we focus on developing fine motor skills in this time.
The next 20 minutes is circle time. This is where we work on rhythm and movement through music using instruments, scarfs, shakers, rhythm sticks, etc. We also have story time and finally introduce the remaining activities to the group.
10-minute break for snacks. We offer healthy homemade snacks. Â When possible, we use this as an opportunity to introduce and encourage a love for whole healthy foods. No sugar, no ultra processed food. Only simple, clean ingredients and, where appropriate, the little ones help us to prep and serve.
For the last 40 minutes, we offer 3 to 4 different stations which can include: messy play, crafts, cooking, painting, and gross motor skills. Every session offers a new adventure for your little one.

As messy play is offered, please bring along a change of clothes. We offer snacks but bring your child's favorites as well. Other recommended items to bring with you: hat, sunscreen, water, and bug spray.

I worked in corporate consulting for over 10 years. I loved growing in the corporate world, but like many of you, my life totally changed after having a little one (or two). I find so much more joy in the small moments of their growth and accomplishment seen in everyday play and the delight it brings them. ​
Now with two boys of my own, my new passion is fostering independence, confidence, and emotional strength through daily experiences. I dedicate my time to helping the youngest members of our community grow and thrive! ​
